Start your New Year Eve with a nice Reveillon and head out to the French Quarter. At Jax Brewery, they will be dropping the ball celebrating New Years Eve Fireworks with Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve! The festivities will start at 7:00 pm, but there will be other events going on throughout the day.
If you are not much for big crowds, there are additional locations to view the fireworks. Along the Mississippi River, there will be spectacular sights from the riverboats or the ferry to the West Bank (check out the ferry times). Not only do you get to watch the sky filled with fireworks but can also enjoy the city lights.
In the Bywater, there is a great view from Crescent Park. It is a family friendly park, where you can bring your own refreshments and perch up on the bridge to look at the beauty in the sky.
