There is something for everyone this 4th of July weekend. Essence Fest starts up the celebration on June 30 and ends July 3rd. There is an incredible lineup of acts such as Mariah Carey, Common, and Charlie Wilson.
On July 3rd, from 7:15 pm – 9 pm. the Marine Corps Band will perform at New Orleans City Park. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the festivities on the lawns of the Goldring/Woldenberg . The fireworks display begin at the Peristyle at 9 pm! Refreshments will be there for purchase starting at 5pm.
The Dueling Barges is a must see over the Mississippi River. One of the best fireworks in the country starts at 9 p.m. You can watch this extravaganza from the Riverwalk as fireworks are launched from two opposite river barges in time to music!
