It is after the Christmas holiday and your children are still on break from school. Here are a few tips to keep the kids busy: 1. Help them write or create thank you notes for gifts they received from out of town family or friends, etc. They can make their own decorative cards, draw pictures, print or write them out on their own. 2. Busy playing with all their gifts. 3. Take this opportunity to get rid of the old, by having Charity Bags. Everyone can give their discarded toys and other items to the less fortunate. You can start this tradition by having a Charity bag of your own. 4. To end the year, children can create a Gratitude List. The list does not have to be hand written but can be one with magazine cut-out pictures, photos, and hand drawn pictures. It will give them positive feedback of what they were thankful for the past year prior to a New Year. 5. Watch feel good films with the family and not the negatives. 6. With the New Year around the corner, your children can decide their own resolutions for the upcoming year. Make sure they are achievable. Setting goals for the coming year is an idea. 6. If you are having a New Year Eve party at home, get the kids involved. Make New Year Eve Decorations! Party hats, noise makers are just a couple suggestions. Welcome in 2019 together!
