Tonight is the first full moon of the New Year 2017. This moon is called the Wolf Moon for different reasons. According to Farmers Almanac, it is because the wolves use to howl outside of Indian Villages. Some say it is because of the time of year. Other names for tonight’s moon are Old Moon and Snow Moon.
